Different layers. Different technologies. One personalised treatment plan.
Ageing, sun exposure and gradual collagen loss can lead to fine lines, loose skin, early jowls and reduced definition of the face and neck. At RD Clinic, Dr. Rachita Dhurat uses HIFU and radiofrequency microneedling to target different layers involved in skin ageing.
HIFU delivers focused ultrasound energy into deeper tissue layers to stimulate gradual collagen remodelling. It may help improve mild to moderate laxity, early jowls, jawline definition and looseness beneath the chin and neck.
RF microneedling delivers controlled radiofrequency energy through fine needles into the dermis. It may improve fine lines, enlarged pores, crepey skin, uneven texture, acne scars and mild skin laxity.
Neither procedure is automatically better than the other. In suitable patients, the two procedures may be combined in a carefully planned sequence. Results develop gradually as new collagen forms and vary according to age, skin quality and degree of laxity. These treatments can provide progressive, natural-looking improvement but cannot reproduce the results of a surgical facelift.
